Hello and welcome! 👋 My name is Laura and I am an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who has worked across the key stage for nine years. I have also tutored alongside teaching since 2023, helping children to develop their writing and mathematician skills, as well as prepare for KS2 SATs.
I work within Trowbridge and the surrounding areas, offering both in-person and online sessions that are conducted over Teams. I am happy to offering tutoring in all primary related subjects, including:
- Writing
- Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation
- Times Tables
- Mathematics
- Year 4 Multiplication Check
- Year 6 SATs
- Foundation subjects (including but not limited to science, geography, history and art)
I like to think of myself as friendly and approachable and pride myself on building respectful relationships with pupils that help them to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment, where they know that it’s all about just giving it their best!
I work off of building collaborative relationships with parents and gaining an understanding of where a child is currently at with their knowledge so I am then able to step in and build their confidence in what they already know. We can then use a variety of learning strategies, tailored to the child’s learning style, to work together on filling their knowledge gaps.
